 The University of Technology and Life Sciences - Promoter and Contractor was founded in 1951 as a state university.

It conducts research and educational activity in disciplines such as: agriculture, animal production, chemical technology and engineering, civil engineering, economics, environment engineering, mathematics, mechanics, electrical engineering, technical physics, telecommunications. It engages 630 researches and educates about 11 000 full-time and part-time students. It is the only University in the region that educates future engineers and carries out research of a strictly technical profile.
The staff actively participates in the preparation of the region to the accession to the European Union, and to enable the University to generate innovative projects, applicable to be financed from the Structural Funds and the Cohesion Found. The University of Technology and Life Sciences has wide experience in the management and implementation of international projects regarding educational, research and administrative activities.
The role in the project:

  • as the promoter, the  University of Technology and Life Sciences covers general co-ordination of the project implementation,
  • as the contractor, the University of Technology and Life Sciences is managing founds of the project, ensuring that money will be spent in compliance with the principles defined in the contract,
  • as one of partners, the University of Technology and Life Sciences staff takes part in all tasks included in the work plan, particularly in the curricula development for economic animator, and testing, development of teaching materials and dissemination activities.
